I asked IF we had a DS baby, would we *need* to know in advance, for some kind of medical reason? He said with a heavy heart (he was a Christian, too)--no, it's because most people will choose to terminate. And he really did say "most". No words.TheHappyNeillshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07631920654633599712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5612835023759651878.post-74414485948462730932011-08-22T20:48:31.670-04:002011-08-22T20:48:31.670-04:00I never do the down syndrome testing either. It's horrible that some people feel terminating the pregnancy is better than dealing with the social stigma of having a child who is different. Babies, in every form, are a gift from God!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18395152278616356180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5612835023759651878.post-70004807106070118922011-08-22T18:58:54.331-04:002011-08-22T18:58:54.331-04:00I so appreciate where you are coming from with the...I so appreciate where you are coming from with the testing. That has been my stance all along this preganncy. Doctors think I'm strange, but yet at the same time I have been respected by all of them for my decision. Also.. even though we don't know our outcome, we were told that it was very likely at 19 weeks that our daughter had a chromosomal defect, and now they are saying she doesn't. I always think of the what ifs...

As far as the weight gain... you are lucky! I am up 40 pounds now at 33 1/2 weeks... yikes!Sarah - Fat Little Legshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14480551907580222028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5612835023759651878.post-72047796190287839512011-08-22T15:07:57.783-04:002011-08-22T15:07:57.783-04:00Just an FYI: In Nebraska: Kearney & Grand Is...Just an FYI: In Nebraska: Kearney & Grand Island have level 2 NICUs. Lincoln has level 3 at St. Es & I think Bryan LGH is level 3 too. And Omaha has multiple level 2s & level 3s. So you can travel home & be pretty safe.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07382510534747063265noreply@blogger.com
