Where oh where did the warm sun go? Oh where, oh where can it be?

Some fun facts about where we live:

- there are only 66 days that the sun shines here....

-  during December, January and February there are only 9 sunny days on average throughout the entire 3 month span. (9 sunny days vs. 68 cloudy days). That's only 3 days per month folks.

- Only 4 other major US cities have less sunshine than here (Seattle, Portland, Buffalo and Pittsburgh).

- the remaining 299 days consist of 97 partly cloudy and 202 cloudy days.  No that is not a typo, 202 cloudy days!

- sometimes it's gone 2 weeks straight (usually in the winter) without seeing so much as a sliver of sunshine.

- Wichita, KS (where we moved here from) has 128 sunny days a year (almost double what we get here, that's quite a big difference!)

So needless to say, we are READY for some sun around here.  And not just sun, but sunny and WARM.  Today the sun came out towards the end of the day but it was still in the mid 40s.  :( boo.  Come on SUMMER!!

So Lincoln truly is my ONLY sunshine :)
