on my {hurting} heart

Unfortunately my heart is hurting this week.  "The system" is failing baby J and all we can do from our standpoint is watch and pray.  His foster parents are fighting hard on his behalf but some horrible decisions are being made for him without his best interest in mind.  As much as my heart is bonded to this little boy, my concern right now is not for myself but for J.  For his safety.  For his health.  For his weight.  For his life.  Nothing about this decision makes sense.  So all we can do is pray and wait.  Praying that J isn't harmed during any of this.

God is good, all the time.  All the time, God is good.
Trusting in Him and His sovereignty.

REVELATION 22:13 … I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

JOHN 16:33 … I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Foster to adopt licensing status update:
We are nearing the end of our homestudy.  Tomorrow we have our fire inspection (hopefully we pass!) actually I think it'll go fine.  TB tests and physicals are done now.  We have one final meeting with our support worker to go over the safety of our home and then one "surprise" visit from her.  We do have two classes to makeup in the middle of June and then we should be good to go!

  7. You are doing so well in going back to what you know to be true and not what feels to be true in the moment. Keep moving toward our Heavenly Father. He loves Baby J. . .and I firmly believe our prayers can have impact, so we will keep praying.
