I will {NOT} smile while embracing the camera

I swear, the second I pull out the camera, this serious face comes out and it's stuck. Sometimes I'll get lucky by making goofy faces at him and he might crack for a split second but I've gotta have cheetah-like reflexes to catch it!

We've been doing a lot of praying lately about something and it's funny how God answers prayers....sometimes it's real subtle and sometimes it's right in your face.  We got it right in the face today....like "here, you guys, I'll make this plain as day and lay this right in your lap."  God's doing something here and it's exciting.

And a question for all you readers out there.  I want a button for my blog.  Anyone know how to do that?  Could you teach me?  Or refer me to someone who can?

Now head on over to Emily's blog to "Linc" up and embrace the camera, yourself!

  1. So cute!!!! Even with a serious face!!! I made a button for my blog before my computer crashed, so I don't have the "recipe", but I got it by googling "how to make a blog button". There were a few out there, so it took a bit of time....hopefully someone else will have a tutorial ready for you!

  8. Avery is the exact same way, especially with the beeping and flashing of the self timer. oh well, even if the camera doesn't show it, YOU know how beautiful his smile really is, and that's more important :)

  9. Don't you hate when they stop what they are doing as soon as the camera comes out? I feel your pain!

  12. I just noticed your comment about adoption .. I would just hold off and let the dust settle with an Ethiopian adoption but I wouldn't give up hope. Our Agency doesn't truly believe this is going happen.. I'm praying it doesn't as we hoped to adopted again from there.

  13. If you had a photo ready, I could quickly make a button for you and then tell you how to put it up on your blog. Just let me know! P.S. Your little guy is adorbs (yes, adorbs) even without a smile.
