pom pom necklace

I totally fell in love with this necklace when I saw it and the tutorial for how to make it over at "Little Miss Momma."  It's so adorable and looked easy enough for me to do!  It didn't take long at all and I LOVE how it turned out!

You'll need:
-fabric (I chose grey)
-felt, can be any color
- a necklace chain (not pictured) you can find them at michaels, hobby lobby, joanns
but I just cut apart a necklace that I don't ever wear :)
-fabric scissors
-hot glue gun

Cut out 5 circles of white felt and use one of them as a pattern for your other circles of grey fabric.  I folded mine over so it cut out 8 circles at once.  Not for sure but I think I cut out 50+ circles.  I didn't count so I'm not exactly sure.

both my grey circles and the felt circles

crumple up one circle at a time and use the hot glue gun to glue it to the felt until you've
covered the whole circle like the one on the right

do that for all 5 circles and then glue them all down onto a piece of felt

cut around the felt so that it doesn't show like this...

hot glue the end of your chain to the back of the last flower on each side

and you've got yourself one Fabulous necklace!

I've also seen this done with rolled flowers and I want to try that next, but only after I make another one just like this only in navy :)  I think my next one I'll try and make a little longer....what do you think about the length?  I had a hard time trying to decide that and found myself trying to plan outfits around my necklace (hmmmm that seems a little backwards doesn't it?)

Oh and P.S. please disregard the horrible lighting in most of my pictures, I was doing this at night and was too lazy to wait to take the pictures until the morning....bear with me!
